..You are the Fool card. The Fool fearlessly begins the journey into the unknown. To do this, he does not regard the world he knows as firm and fixed. He has a seemingly reckless disregard for obstacles. In the Ryder-Waite deck, he is seen stepping off a cliff with his gaze on the sky, and a rainbow is there to catch him.

In order to explore and expand, one must disregard convention and conformity. Those in the throes of convention look at the unconventional, nonconformist personality and think "What a fool!"  They lack the point of view to understand The Fool's actions.

But The Fool has roots in tradition as one who is closest to the spirit world.

In many tribal cultures, those born with strange and unusual character traits were held in awe. Shamans were people who could see visions and go on

BLUES, R&B, ... Melissa Adams, James Clem, Freddie Anderson, Bonnie Raitt, Bette Midler, BB King ...

NEW AGE Cousco, Enya, Nakkai

ETHNIC Spanish guitar; Peruvian flute; Native American drums; Cajun squeezebox; Scottish bagpipes ... when you think about it, isn't all music, "ethnic"?

ROCK Beatles to Zeppelin ... anything but Rap.

C&W Give me the old-time weeping and wailing. And Willie. Let's dance!

RAGGAE .... CLASSICAL ... I just don't "get" Rap.
... and, just WHERE does JULIO belong? Mmmm! Pop? OK. I like pop, too, then.

Your Theme Song is

by Steppenwolf

 "I like smoke and lightning
Heavy metal thunder
Racin' with the wind
And the feelin' that I'm under"

A totally independent spirit, you can't be held down or fenced in. You crave the feeling of wind on your face... and total freedom.

Just when I think that I cannot bear one more day of winter ... the Easter lilies blossom, to fill one with wonder and inspiration to hang on, just a few more weeks!
Just when I think I cannot bear one more day of winter ... the Easter lilies blossom, to fill me with wonder and inspiration to hang on, just a few more weeks!"
"When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence. ~Ansel Adams"
Most of these photos were taken in beautiful eastern Nevada.
Born and raised in the wilds of the Great Basin region, my inquisitive and nomadic nature might have been inherited from either side of my family tree; long lines of American pioneers (and renegades) on both sides.

Anxious to "slip the surly bonds" (of adolescence), I left home at a very young age. Catastophe followed upon calamity, as naivete' gave way to cold experience ... until ... a life-changing event in 1986 altered my direction (though not all self-defeating behaviors), completely and permanently.

I began asking questions like, "Why am I here?"
I no longer seek, so much as follow Spirit, for I have come to understand: "The Journey IS the destination".

I am not a guru or saint; nor do I aspire to being either. No luminescent aura, or flowing robes here. I don't write motivational best-sellers, or meditate in caves (I'd much rather explore them!) I do not go about in a perpetual state of Bliss. Occasionally, I feel angry, and sometimes I feel discouraged. I am not above desire, or self-indulgence ... or pride. I do not love everyone equally, and unconditionally.

I often feel moved and uplifted by the things I see in Nature; sometimes, I feel AtOne. More and more often, I feel content. And usually, that is enough!

I think that my best quality is integrity (the outside matching the inside). I don't neccesarily express every thought and emotion, but those I do express, are sincere and honest.

"The key to the Kingdom is within.
Happiness is a choice
"The key to the Kingdom is within.
Happiness is a choice (and the only sensible one).
The power is NOW."

I am creative, to the very core of my being, and that is expressed in a variety of ways; in the way I dress, the way I cook, and (perhaps unfortunately) in the way I dance.

An indepth astrological report states: "The artistry is in the manner of living." and that seems a perfectly accurate description. A friend visiting my home (when I still had one) once remarked, "It's like walking around inside of a great sculpture!"

I love to play dress-up, and my costumes have won numerous awards.
One entrepreneurial adventure found me taking vintage (old-West style) portraits. I was costume designer, background artist, set builder, photographer, and manager.

I have worked as a webmaster, graphic designer, sign artist, and muralist (to name a few of MANY occupations).

Although I majored in business, I have yet to develop the requisite ability for shameless self-promotion necessary for entrepreneurial success (contrary to the evidence on this page!). Perhaps, I took my father's words too literally: "If you just take care of being you, you'll have a full-time job."

Everything I do, I do with complete abandon, and when I am finished with something, I abandon it completely.

I can be very playful when I am with someone with whom I feel safe to express the child-like part of my nature.
Who I'd like to meet:
Tramp Miner's Daughter

Just ONE awakened man; ONE satisfied woman; ONE open-minded intellectual; ONE secure psychotherapist; one impartial judge; one nonjudgmental minister; one honest politician; one healthy healer; one capable teacher; one prosperous artist that didn't sell out; one humble Republican; one happy gay person ... one genuinely happy person of any ilk or gender...

Or, NOT barring any of the above ... a somewhat intelligent, nice guy that likes to dance.
